Wrekin College – Margarita gains full scholarship to study in Madrid

Upper Sixth student, Margarita Gevorgyan, has won the ‘Young and Talented Leaders’ scholarship to IE University to study a degree in Economics. The scholarship is sponsored by the IE Parents’ Foundation.

The scholarship covers the full university experience for four years including tuition costs (20,000 euros a year), accommodation and other necessities. There is only one full scholarship awarded annually and Margarita was selected for the class of 2022/2023.

The application process was lengthy and took Margarita four months from the basic application papers, online assessments, admissions tests, and an interview with the Head of Admissions in Madrid.

Besides her core subjects she will learn coding, blockchain, and cryptocurrencies. Margarita said “the university is very innovative and prepares students for the challenges of the 21st Century and that’s what I love about it.”
