Wrekin College – Aimee is European Gold medalist

Third Former, Aimee Jones, and her teammates travelled to Holland over the half term to compete in the Wierden Children’s Nations Cup.

After a close first round the team got through with zero penalties but they had Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland all closely behind them.

Aimee was last in her team to jump in the second round and she had to jump for less than eight penalties if she was to secure the win for the team. On the last jump a pole was knocked off so she incurred four penalties, but this was still enough for the team to bring the Gold home. Congratulations to Aimee and her teammates!
