Wellington School Cricket Girls are County Champions

01 May 2018

Congratulations to our Under 15 girls indoor cricket team who are now County Champions!

They beat Castle School in the semi final and King Edwards School in the final at the County ground and will go on to represent Somerset at the South West Regional finals in April.

With strength in depth, the girls are all competitive and supportive of each other and made a fantastic team effort which is a credit to Wellington School.

The are coached by the ex Captain of the England Ladies’ Cricket team, Caroline Foster. Formerly Caroline Atkins, she made 17 Test appearances for England, and won 77 caps in limited-overs cricket.

She joins a range of elite cricket coaching stars in their pursuit of excellence in sport and well-being at Wellington School.

Their journey continues in this national competition!
