TRINITY TRIATHLON WINS AWARD – ENTRIES FOR 2016 ARE NOW OPEN!

10 Dec 2015

Set up in the run up to the London Olympic Games, Trinity Triathlon has just been awarded London Region Best Children’s Event 2015 by Triathlon England. The event, featuring several categories for children aged 8-19, is organised by Trinity School in Croydon. It has enjoyed growing success since its inception and is now one of the biggest events of its kind in the UK with over 500 participants.

Trinity School Race Organiser, Tim Deakin, said: “Winning the Triathlon England award is a fantastic accolade as London probably has the most popular events in the country. To be voted the best of the best is superb. The key feature of Trinity Triathlon is the warmth and efficiency of our volunteer marshals and so a big thank you goes to all of them.”

The award-winning Trinity Triathlon is set to return for the sixth time next year with the event being held on Sunday 3rd July 2016. Trinity School has announced that entries are now open for the event. The pre-planned road closure by TFL provides an excellent course for the cycling event. Volunteers from the School community and event mentors, Crystal Palace Triathlon Club, will once again be crucial to the smooth running of the Triathlon and the enjoyment of participants and spectators alike.
