Trinity School ranked in top 50 independent schools

04 Aug 2017

Trinity School, Croydon, has been ranked in the top 50 independent secondary schools in the Sunday Times Parent Power guide 2016, making it the top ranked independent school in Croydon.

Based on the excellent examination results of summer, where over 90% of A-Level results were awarded A*-B, and 89% of GCSEs were at A*-A, this year’s ranking at number 44 sees the school move up the table from 67 in 2015.

Trinity’s Headmaster, Alasdair Kennedy, said: “We are delighted with the exam success of our pupils, testament to their energy and ambition – and that of their teachers – and the support of their parents. That is what this ranking represents, but it is only one part of what is important to us however; we are as concerned about the type of young people they become, their intellectual curiosity and experiences, as well as their wider interests and contribution.“

This year the 24th Sunday Times Parent Power guide published tables for more than 500 of the highest-achieving secondary schools across the independent and state sector. Ranking is based on 2016 examination results with A*-B grades at A-Level double-weighted. The full results of the Parent Power survey are available online at www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/parentpower
