Trinity A-level students raise the bar
13 Aug 2015
In spite of receiving their results electronically early on in the day, Sixth Formers gathered in droves at Trinity School to pick up their A-level results and share the news with parents and friends.
Trinity students achieved their best ever A* rate and second best A*-A rate. A record 60 pupils (out of 140 candidates) achieved three A grades or better. Overall the school achieved a 100% pass rate for the ninth year in row.
The vast majority of pupils will go to university this autumn with destinations as diverse as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College, LSE, Durham, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton to name but a few.
Mark Bishop, Headmaster, was full of praise for pupils and teachers in the School and said: “I would like to congratulate our students for all their hard work and also our staff for all the guidance and support that went into achieving these results.”
Among the success stories were Alex Briggs, Susan Chen, Tom Hilditch, Kaashif Hymabaccus, Joe Wakeling and Nathan Wong, who achieved an impressive 4 A*s. Identical twins Nicholas and Daniel Thompson (pictured) did themselves and their parents proud, achieving 5 A*s and 3As between them.
Trinity School welcomes applications to its Sixth Form from boys and girls who want to be challenged and fulfil their potential. The Sixth Form AS Choices and Open Evening is on Monday 12th October 2015 by appointment only.
