The Paragon School – British Schools Biathlon Championships
30 Apr 2014
Paragon U11 girl Minnie Leigh was thrilled to compete in the British Schools Biathlon Championships this weekend, held in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. Swimming in the prestigious Aquatics Centre proved to be exciting and inspiring as Minnie swam a personal best for 50m front crawl. She followed this with a personal best run to cap off a successful and enjoyable day!
Katy Livingston, Paragon Head of Girls Games (and Modern Pentathlon Beijing Olympian) was there to support Minnie:
“Minnie performed personal best times in both the run and the swim, and you can’t ask for more than that. I was so impressed with her determination, and proud to be there as her teacher! The Schools Biathlon is a fantastic event and is how I was introduced to Modern Pentathlon. To provide so many with children the opportunity to compete in the Olympic Park was really special. I’m sure that Minnie will have amazing memories of this competition!”
