The Old Hall School – Concord College Choir Competition Success

06 Jul 2016

The morning of Wednesday 11th June saw the chapel choir travel down to Concord College for their annual choir competition. This year, Concord College decided to run two separate competitions, one for singers from local primary schools and one for independent school choirs. Three choirs were entered into the independent school class with Adcote School and St Winefride’s providing the opposition on this occasion.

Old Hall sang first presenting the soft and lyrical ’Summer’ by Lin Marsh and ‘Dansi na Kuimba’ by Dave and Jean Perry, a lively song including some words sung in Swahili. Following the completion of the performances, the adjudicators gave each choir valuable feedback, praising the chapel choir for having “diction to die for”. Once again, Old Hall were awarded first place, retaining the shield for the third consecutive year.

Thank you to all the parents and supporters of the choir who travelled down to enjoy the choir’s performance at this event.
