Year 8 “Ask not what the School can do for you but what can I do for the School” Day !!

All of Year 8 recently spent the morning with the Headmaster looking to see what they might be able to do to enhance the school and the appearance of the school. On the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta they first discussed the Magna Carta and then considered JFK’s Inaugural Speech. They chose to make hanging baskets, paint the parking bollards and fences, sweep the Pre-prep Playground and the phone box, tidy the pond area and walk up the Brockhill Road on a good old fashioned litter “Womble”. They also chose the 44 stones that will be used for the WW1 10th anniversary cairn.Many thanks to our Year 8s, who leave in 10 days time, for a great year and for all that you have done, not just yesterday but over the past years you have been here.
