Over the course of 12 fantastic weeks from June – September 2024, we welcomed more than 1,200 students of over 30 different nationalities to Oxford for our traditional summer programmes. We are already looking forward to an even bigger and better summer in 2025!
Summer in Oxford is an awe-inspiring experience. The colleges, galleries and history of one of the world’s most famous Universities provide an inspiring and beautiful environment for students from all over the world. Oxford International Study Centre has organised summer programmes for nearly 20 years, and in that time have welcomed more than 22,000 students. OISC occupies a listed building in the very centre of Oxford, next to Christ Church, one of the largest Colleges of the University, and home to the famous Cathedral.
Our summer courses are very international, with students from over thirty countries. We welcome students of all ages, including juniors under 14 years, unlike many colleges, and adults of all ages. Teachers may join adult professional groups.
Our summer programmes run from mid-June to early September every year, and enrolment is very flexible. Students can begin their programme on any Monday, and are welcome to join for any duration, from 1 week, to 8 weeks or longer as needed.
Students who wish to study with us outside this period are welcome to join us on one of our year-round programmes, either in English Language or in a range of academic subjects.
We offer a range of programmes, including two fixed courses:

Social and Cultural Programme

Every weekday we arrange cultural, sports and leisure activities, and these are included in the course packages above. A range of activities are offered, including punting on the river, visits to galleries and museums, the Colleges of the University with their beautiful architecture dating from medieval times, treasure hunts, selfie tours of Oxford… the list goes on!
At weekends we arrange full day excursions to destinations such as London, Bath & Stonehenge, and Cambridge.
