Staines Prep Summer Fayre brings out Sunshine and Smiles
02 Jul 2012
Friends of Staines Prep School held their annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 16 June. The much anticipated event was a great success and helped raise a healthy £800. Funds will be donated towards the purchase of the school’s new multi-function hall and classrooms currently under construction.
As luck would have it the sun made a very welcomed appearance, enabling the outdoor events to go ahead. The school’s playground and all-weather netball court were filled with excitement and fun – playing host to a range of family games including an inflatable obstacle course, Panning for Gold and Tin Can Alley.
The children were particularly thrilled that the stocks were open for business, with the headmaster and a number of teachers ‘volunteering’ to be soaked during a stunning display of throwing prowess! Tasty refreshments and an array of vibrant stalls added to the occasion’s frivolity.
