Staines Prep at Wembley
23 Apr 2014
Choir members from Staines Prep gave the performance of their lives in front of an audience of more than 10,000 people at the Voice in a Million charity concert at Wembley Arena on Wednesday 12th March. The much anticipated annual event has been set up to help raise awareness of young children living in care in the UK.
The 51 young singers proudly arrived at the famous arena, walking in the footsteps of some of the world’s greatest musical legends, as they joined 5,000 other children to sing a huge medley of popular songs. The budding stars were given a further treat when they were joined by special guest and X Factor winner Matt Cardle.
Music and Choir teacher Karen Walker said: “The children were very excited to be taking part in such a worthy event. They worked really hard during the long day of rehearsals and kept the energy up with their fantastic voices and great dance moves during the final performance in front of all their friends and family.”
