06 May 2015
Every year St Edmund’s College selects a charity which for a week of fund raising activities and this year St Elizabeth’s, Much Hadham, was the chosen charity.
On Wednesday 25th March we proudly handed over a cheque to Sister Patricia, of St Elizabeth’s, for £14,000.
Sister Patricia visited the College where she spoke so warmly of the challenges that faced the people that attend and live at St Elizabeth’s inspiring the students and staff to do all they could to raise money throughout ‘Charity Week’.
The week saw children take part in many activities ranging from cake sales to students shaving their heads, from staff being ‘gunged’ and staff netball matches to more challenging student activities of taking part in triathlons and 10k runs.
So many students and staff work tirelessly throughout the week and supported of ethos of St Edmund’s supporting the wider community. Over the last three years the College has raised nearly £60,000 for its various charities.
