- In Drama, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Music, Latin and French over 2/3 of entries achieved Grade 7 or better
- The overall pass rate (Grades 9-4) was 90%
- Three pupils who were identified as part of our Gifted and Talented Programme as writers of great potential also achieved excellent grades in AS Level English Language which they took this year alongside their GCSEs
Head, Edward O’Connor, said: “We are delighted with this outstanding set of results. Our pupils and teachers have worked incredibly hard to meet the challenges of the reformed GCSE syllabi over the last two years. Today demonstrates that their tireless efforts have paid off. To achieve a record-breaking 44% A*-A grades this year, including a high number of coveted “9” grades is a tremendous achievement. We are very proud of this talented year group and look forward to working with them again in the Sixth Form.”
Matilda who achieved a remarkable eight Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and a Grade 7 said:
“I feel incredibly happy right now. The school has been so supportive. I did work hard and with the school’s help I think I got the results I deserved. After A-levels I am hoping to go university – this is a good start.”
