Olga Zadvorna, a sixth form pupil at the Royal Hospital School, has secured a place at Corpus Christie College, Oxford to read Physics conditional upon A*, A, A at A2 level. Olga joined the Royal Hospital School in Year 12 from the Ukraine along with her twin brother Anatolyy Zadvornyy.
Dr Jonathan Allday, Olga’s Tutor and physics teachers said, “It was immediately evident that Olga had flair and ability in mathematics and physics when she joined us in Year 12. Considering that she is working in a second language her achievements are remarkable. After a highly successful AS level exam session, she undertook a piece of independent research into the current state of String Theory* presenting a dissertation to a group of students and teachers in November. For some while she was undecided as to reading maths or physics at university, but has opted for a blend of the two which she will be able to do at Oxford”.
Olga follows in the success of another talented Ukrainian pupil, Anastasiya Pachyna, who did her A Levels at the Royal Hospital School last year gaining 5A* grades and went to Cambridge to read Natural Sciences last year.
