OUTSTANDING A-LEVEL RESULTS FOR MAYNARD STUDENTS

The Upper Sixth at The Maynard School have once again achieved excellent A-level results for 2013.

A2 pass rate 100%
Percentage of students gaining A* or A Grades 60%
Percentage of students gaining A*, A or B Grades 85%
This year we are delighted that all of our students have gained a place at their choice of university. Many are going on to study at Russell Group universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Warwick, York, Durham, Southampton and St Andrews.
In addition, seven students gained the research-based Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), with three students achieving A*s and one gaining an A.
Success stories include:
Alexandra Sage, from Exeter, who scored 4 A* Grades and an A* in the EPQ and gained a place to read English at Oxford.
Elizabeth Hamilton, from Bovey Tracey, who gained 3 A* Grades and 1 A Grade and has a place at Oxford to read Biochemistry.
Rachel Christie, from Exeter, who scored 2 A* and 2 A Grades, and will be studying Natural Sciences at Durham.
Pip Halpin, from Exeter, who gained 2 A* and 2 A Grades and has a place at St Andrews to study Mathematics.
Clare Dawson, from Chudleigh, who gained 2 A*’s and 1 A Grade, as well as an A in the EPQ, and has a place at Cambridge to read Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic.
