Oswestry School – swimmer makes waves at Autumn Conwy competition

Oswestry School Sixth Form pupil, Alistair Moss, competed in the Autumn Conwy Swim Meet held in Llandudno at the weekend.

The meet is extremely popular and attracts a large number of swimmers from the area.  Alistair, aged 16, had a busy weekend, but romped home with a gold medal for the 1500m freestyle.  The win was almost snatched from him when the official timekeeper rang the penultimate 2-length bell at 4 lengths causing him to stop early thinking he’d finished.  Alistair soon realised the error though and continued to claim his gold medal among a strong swimming field.
