Olympic Team GB swimming call-up for current and former Millfield pupils

Upper Sixth pupil Cameron Kurle and Old Millfieldian James Guy have been selected as part of the 26-strong swimming squad for Team GB at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio.

The Millfield teammates’ performances at the British Championships sealed their places on the final selection list. They will be joined by their Head Coach, Millfield’s Director of Swimming Jol Finck, who was selected for the Team GB Olympic coaching squad earlier this year.

This is the first time that any current Millfield pupil has gained an Olympic Games call-up since 1984 when three pupils swam for Great Britain, including Paul Howe who won a bronze medal in the 4 x 200m freestyle relay.
