A Japanese choir has visited Bromsgrove School as part of their tour of the UK.
The Rikkyo All Saints Chapel Choir, a 40 voice group of students from Rikkyo University in Tokyo, came to Bromsgrove on Monday 25th February to perform in the School’s Memorial Chapel.
The choir sang in front of the Senior School during the morning service and enjoyed a tour of the School including the Pre-Preparatory & Nursery School.
Deputy Headmaster Philip Bowen said: “T he Chapel Choir of Rikkyo University were simply outstanding at last Monday’s Assembly and were warmly applauded for several choral performances, all unaccompanied. Their visit to the Pre-Preparatory School was a joy to behold. Sixth Form pupil Yushi Takeuchi accompanied us and taught the children “Thank You” in Japanese. The Pre-Preparatory School children in turn sang two songs to our visitors who then left for performances at Oxford and Cambridge Colleges and Canterbury Cathedral.”
