MILTON ABBEY LAUNCHES ‘ENTREPRENEUR IN RESIDENCE’ SCHEME

28 Feb 2014

Milton Abbey is delighted to announce that iconic British fashion designer Anya Hindmarch will be  fronting a new Entrepreneur in Residence scheme, being launched by the School this month.

The scheme has been devised to celebrate and support the School’s historic culture of entrepreneurial ambition and talent. Anya will be partnering the scheme and offering advice and guidance to pupils interested in pursuing a career in business and will also be supporting and adjudicating a competition involving an initial start-up investment. The competition winner will receive a £2000 cash prize, along with the opportunity to spend a week’s work experience at Anya Hindmarch.

Anya has grown her brand of stylish and high quality handbags and accessories from one store on London’s Walton Street to 58 stores globally. In 2009, Anya was awarded an MBE for her contribution to the British fashion industry and her current responsibilities include acting as a UK Trade Ambassador and Non-Executive Director of the British Fashion Council.

The School looks forward to welcoming Anya to Milton Abbey, and working with her on this exciting project.
