Millfield Prep – Hollywood and Broadway inspire annual House Singing competition

Our annual House Singing competition brought a rousing close to the half term. Each of the four houses – Angles, Danes, Jutes and Saxons – produced excellent performances of their chosen songs, inspired by Hollywood and Broadway. The competition was adjudicated by Mr Timothy Morgan, Director of Music at Ludgrove School. His task was a difficult one but after deliberation, presented the winners’ cup to a thrilled Angles house.

Highlights of 2015: Danes staff getting involved and performing with children in ‘Do You Hear the People Sing?’, Jutes atmospheric fairy light ending in ‘We Go Together’ from Grease, ‘Fame!’ energy and astonishing costumes from Angles, and Saxons quick-fire alternating Latin hand clap rhythms in ‘America’ from Westside Story.
