Manor Pupils include National Sporting Champions!

18 Aug 2015

At The Manor Preparatory School in Abingdon we are delighted to be celebrating more sporting success, this time at a national level!

Hugh congratulations are in order to our fantastic swimmers, Annabelle Vallance age 11, Lottie James age 11, Theodora Wornham age 10 and Florence Miller age 11 for their performance at the National ESSA Swimming Finals recently where the girls were crowned as National U11 Freestyle Relay Champions!

Lottie, Florence and Annabelle were back in action three days later, this time along with Phoebe Maslen age 11, in the National IAPS Athletics Finals where they once again performed superbly as a team and were placed 5th in the relay. Florence put in an outstanding solo performance and became the 100m and Long Jump National Champion, running the 100m in 13.46 seconds and jumping 4.53m, breaking the national record for the 100m sprint in the process!

For all the girls in Year 6, their time at The Manor has now come to an end, and what a wonderful way to finish!
