Malvern College pupil selected for Cadet Exercise to Mexico
15 Aug 2013
Natalie Kingdon has been selected out of thousands to be one of only 12 pupils to go to Mexico this summer, as part of the ACFA (Army Cadet Force Association) programme of biennial overseas charity events. Natalie will help in the Esenada orphanage of El Sauzal and will assist in activities such as painting, building and helping in classrooms.
“I am so pleased that I got through the selection process as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity!” says Natalie. “I am looking forward to representing the school and Malvern College CCF in this exercise as it will be an incredible experience; not only the opportunity to help the orphans but also the chance to learn and understand more about the people and culture in Mexico.”
This expedition will give Natalie the chance to broaden her experiences as well as make some new friendships, not only with fellow cadets but also the people she will work alongside in Mexico.
