Kingscourt – Whole School Talks About Safer Internet Day

06 Apr 2018

Children of all ages at Kingscourt School are learning about how to stay safe online in recognition of Safer Internet Day, Tuesday February 6th 2018.

This morning’s assembly was given by Year 6 pupils who reminded the whole school about everyone’s responsibilities online and where to find advice if they came across anything that made them feel uncomfortable.

Lunchtime activities for all ages are in store.

Reception classes talked at length back in their classrooms on the subject. They put down their ideas on how to stay safe online on pieces of jigsaw which they then put together.

Headteacher, Mr Jamie Lewis said, “We constantly teach the children about online safety but find that days like Safer Internet Day gives us a chance to really concentrate the activities so that the message is consolidated in our pupils’ minds as they grow up.”
