End of year Graduation Ceremony
On 11th June, staff and students at Kings Oxford took part in an end of year graduation ceremony at our St Joseph’s campus. A-level, GCSE and Foundation students celebrated the end of the academic year and their successes and achievements throughout it.
The Kings Oxford Principal and academic director gave speeches and presented final certificates and awards to the students in attendance. We were grateful that our online students were also able to join through Microsoft Teams.
After the main ceremony at the school, students went on to a local café to continue the celebrations and enjoy a warm summer evening together. Kings Oxford Activity and Enrichment manager, Simon, said “It was a lovely celebration, and I was glad to bid farewell to so many of you in style!”
We want to congratulate all our departing students for their fantastic university and sixth form offers in 2021 after a challenging and disruptive year. We are so proud of all of your achievements and can’t wait to hear more about your next steps.
New Computer Science A-level
We are delighted to be offering a new Computer Science A-level from September 2021. Since it is a new subject to be offered at A-level, and only taught by a limited number of providers, studying it may give students the ‘edge’ over other applicants and help their profile stand out to universities.
This A-level will teach foundational programming and theoretical skills that students will then develop in a Computer Science degree, preparing them for a range of employment opportunities in a very fast-growing industry.
