Kingham Hill School presents cheque to Helen & Douglas House Hospice

KHS enjoyed welcoming Sister Frances from Helen & Douglas House on 30th May. She was here to take a chapel service and receive a cheque for £2377 from the pupil’s fund raising efforts.

Her visit had been planned for weeks, so it was very timely that her visit was a just days after the tragic death of our much loved friend, colleague and houseparent Stoddie. She reminded us of the importance of living, and dying well. Over the last few months pupils had raised money through a non-uniform day, various cake bakes, a community day and ice cream sales!

Sam Townend also joined us for the chapel, as he is planning a fund raising trip to India in the Autumn.
