Impressive results in A-level and BTEC qualifications – well done to our senior pupils!
24 Jul 2020
We are pleased to report that our senior pupils have achieved impressive results in their A-level, with nearly three quarters attaining grades A*-C. In the first year of BTEC results, we are pleased to report a 100% pass rate with two pupils achieving Distinctions.
Many pupils performed beyond expectations in achieving their A-level results, and have been successful in securing places at Universities such as Glasgow, Oxford, York, Nottingham, Loughborough and Exeter. At these institutions, pupils will pursue courses ranging from Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Earth Science, International Relations, Acting, Sport Science, Modern Languages, Events Management, Fashion and Art courses.
Dr Graham Hawley, Headmaster of Loretto School, said “These remarkable results are a testament to the hard work of the pupils and teaching staff. The Loretto ethos of knowing and nurturing pupils has contributed to many of our pupils surpassing expectations, facilitating their entry to University – we anticipate that more than 9 out of 10 will have secured a place at the institution of their choice. Our School takes great pride in offering A level and BTEC courses to all our pupils, allowing a breadth and range of future pathways for Lorettonians”.
