Homefield Golfing Prodigy Tops The Masters
20 Jan 2017
Homefield’s Oliver has had a year to remember on the golf course and, over the Christmas holidays, was rewarded for his efforts at the Cuddington Golf Club annual dinner and awards ceremony.
Since joining Cuddington Golf Club a year ago through Homefield’s sporting curriculum programme, Oliver has lowered his handicap from 45 to 26 with some stunning performances. Following two wins, a second and two third placed finishes in six separate competitions as part of the club’s yearlong Masters tournament, Oliver was presented with the Order of Merit trophy at the showcase awards ceremony. He performed just as well in a team environment, helping the Cuddington junior representative team to a brilliant year culminating with a victory in the UK National Team event.
Oliver and his family have nothing but praise for Cuddington Golf Club and the superb environment it provides for juniors to learn the game and thrive on the golf course. There are a total of 62 registered juniors with a broad range of abilities, who are all on hand to help newcomers settle in and learn the etiquette of manners, golf and competition.
