Headington School Sixth Formers Provide IB Inspiration

22 May 2019

U4 and L5 girls were given a flavour of the many and varied activities girls taking the IB qualification complete as part of their Creativity, Activity, Service strand.

Our current L6 group gave an assembly to the younger girls focusing on what they had achieved over the past year, providing ideas and inspiration for those who might consider taking the qualification in the Sixth Form.

The projects focused on included Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award, producing an Economics Magazine, starting new clubs, volunteering in care homes and with various charities and travelling to Botswana to help teach at a local school, working with Botswanan children and communities.

Mrs Vanessa Sinclair, CAS co-ordinator, said: “Lots of the girls were really inspired by the sixth formers – their attitude and sense of fun about the amazing range of things that they have been doing in CAS, hopefully making the IB less scary to them.”
