Freemen’s Fundraising Achieves 2020 Target
18 Mar 2021
With an ambitious target of raising £20,020 for our 20/20 Vision charities, we are delighted to announce that we have exceeded our goal, raising an amazing total of £20,577!
Supporting blind, partially sighted and disabled people both locally and internationally, our chosen charities this year were Sightsavers, Sight for Surrey, and Challengers.
Other fundraising events have enabled us to donate a further £9,497 to charities including the British Legion Poppy Appeal, Children in Need, Genetic Disorders UK (through Jeans for Genes Day), MacMillan Coffee Morning, Movember and Sport Relief. Students, parents and staff also kindly donated 1,378kg of food for Epsom and Ewell Foodbank, 121 shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse and PPE equipment for our local NHS.
Despite the difficulties everyone has faced this year, nothing has lessened the generosity and enthusiasm our community has had for helping others. A big thank you to everyone for your generosity in helping us to reach our 2020 fundraising goal.
