Farlington School – Badminton Winner

Farlington School’s Sophie Kitson won two trophies for badminton at the weekend.
The thirteen-year-old played in the 17th Annual Mid-Sussex Junior Badminton Tournament in Haywards Heath on Saturday 24th January. Despite not playing in a competitive badminton event for over a year, she came first in both the Under-14 Girls Singles and Doubles events.
Sara Whittaker, Director of PE and Games at Farlington, says, “It is good to see Sophie developing her talents for badminton. She has had great success in tennis and is continuing to do well in that sport, so it is exciting to see her achieving in other areas.”
