Excellent A Level results at Lord Wandsworth College
09 Sep 2015
Adam Williams, Headmaster at LWC, was delighted to receive the news of an excellent set of A level results from this year’s U6th leavers. He said, “On behalf of all the staff at the College, I would like to congratulate the pupils on achieving some fine results this summer, results which will now open other doors and opportunities for their future lives”.
The overall pass rate was 99.2% with 83% of all exams taken graded at A*-C and 38% achieving the top grades of A*/A. It was particularly pleasing that almost a quarter of the year group achieved all A*/A grades and that the majority gained places at their first choice universities with 100% success for those applying for veterinary science or medicine.
Adam Williams continued: “To have achieved excellence in their chosen academic areas of expertise, whilst being so committed to the all-round life of LWC pupils as well as involvement in the community, they have demonstrated the character traits that our school community believes in so strongly. We are hugely proud of their efforts and wish them the best for the next stage of their lives”.
