Epsom College – Young Enterprise team gives profits to The Mermaid

05 Jul 2018

The Sixth Form team behind the hugely popular branded puffa jackets chose to donate a share of their business’s profits to The Mermaid fund, by naming a brick. Two of the team’s representatives met with the Headmaster and Director of the OE Trust to make their gesture.

“After a year of success selling our puffa jackets to half of the pupils within the College, as a company we knew the importance of giving back. As we come to the end of our Young Enterprise journey, we wanted to give back to the College and support the Mermaid campaign for future generations. It’s great to think of the YE meetings that will happen in the new building, perhaps seeing our brick may make future YE students think about what they can do with their businesses,” Lennan Day (G), Managing Director, New Day Enterprise.

As well as naming a brick, the campaign offers many exciting opportunities to leave a lasting legacy to the College. These include naming discussion pods, classrooms, the Café/Gallery area, or even a seat in the lecture theatre. To find out more, please email educationtrust@epsomcollege.org.uk or call 01372 821042.
