Epic Animation Club Win – Faraday School
14 May 2020
Our spectacular animation club film The Attack of the Plastic Pollution has won Best Animation at the 2019 Cardiff International Film Festival.
The film is a collaborative project with Faraday’s sister school, Maple Walk Prep, in North West London, and was completed by last year’s club cohort.
It is a fantastical story imagining how the famous broadcaster and environmentalist, David Attenborough, tackles plastic pollution in the oceans.
On his journey on the high seas he encounters dolphins with plastic bags on their heads, seahorses carrying plastic cotton buds and a poor turtle with a straw up his nose.
He also meets Poseidon who grants him three wishes and the story imagines a world without plastic pollution.
The Animation club wrote, scripted, drew the animation and recorded the voiceovers.
