Cricket at The Downs Malvern

Well done to the U13 and U11 cricket teams who played in the two limited over tournaments on Sunday.

The U11s played at the Malvern College 8/Eights Tournament and came third out of ten teams with excellent wins over St Hugh’s, Moor Park and Birchfield. Their final group match against Prestfelde was a close affair with The Downs falling three runs short of their total. This meant a semi-final against Cumnor House, the team we had hosted overnight on Saturday, but they proved too strong for us and all the other teams at the tournament.

Well played all the boys and thanks to Mr Richardson for spending the whole of Sunday with the team. Thanks also to the large group of parents who support the children and their team.
