Committed to Supporting the Community – Wellington School
09 Jul 2020
2nd April. Wellington School remains committed to supporting the local community wherever possible.
One of the boarding houses – The Grange, which has en-suite accommodation, will be used by medical staff from Musgrove Park hospital who need to be isolated from their families whilst on duty. Our cleaning staff have deep cleansed and will continue to be on hand to ensure high standards are maintained. This is a facility the School is providing free of charge – and will continue to open up more boarding houses as required.
In addition, the School’s Design Technology department is churning out facial visors using the 3D printers. Production is underway, headed by Year 11 pupil Theo who has cut acetate on the laser cutter to form the clear visors and fitted them to the frames which have been created on the 3d printers. These will be taken to Musgrove Park Hospital where Theo’s aunt works and has requested our help,
We will continue to search for additional ways to support the community during this time of national crisis.
