Cleve House School – OPEN DAY 2014 – WELCOMES ALL

30 May 2014

Our annual open day was a tremendous success, with staff, pupils and parents laying on a range of academic, craft and sporting activities for visitors.

Our doors opened to a flurry of current and prospective pupils, and their friends and families. It was also very nice to see so many past pupils come back to visit us.

The new “entrepreneurs’ club” enticed visitors with freshly made popcorn, cones of sweets, delicious homemade cakes and handmade bracelets. All three teams competed well against each other, with ‘Lord of the Sweets’ selling out quickly. If you missed out, do come and support us at Redcatch Community fete on Sunday, 22nd June.

There were also other notable musical performances from the school choir, which sang beautifully and the recorder group which performed confidently in the main hall. Form 5 treated us to a ‘dark’ Shakespeare reading and Form 6 raised the roof with their rendition of ‘Oh What a Lovely War!’

Meanwhile Mr De Rossi involved much of the school with his PE obstacle courses and there was face painting and water games in the nursery.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to support us, the sun shone brightly and a great time was had by all. We also look forward to welcoming some new children into the school very soon.
