Anna Phillips, a Music Scholar in Year 13, has been awarded a scholarship to study Harp at the Royal Academy of Music in London from next academic year.  She was also offered places by most of the other leading music conservatoires.

Anna had already gained ABRSM Grade 8 in Piano and Violin before joining the Sixth Form at Christ College and was delighted to gain the highest mark on record at the school of 142 for her Grade 8 Harp.

Anna is currently taught by Claire Jones (formerly Harpist to the Prince of Wales) and she has taken part in masterclasses given by famous international harpists such as Gabriella Dal’Ollio and Skaila Kanga.

On 9th March, Anna will join Claire Jones in a special concert in the Christ College Chapel as part of Claire’s new album tour. Further information here

Anna will also be touring the US with the Claire Jones Harp Ensemble and the American Youth Harp Ensemble.
