Bromsgrove’s Netball Success Continues! U15 Schools’ Sports Magazine National Cup Champions

Congratulations to Bromsgrove School’ U15 netball team who were crowned National Cup Champions on Wednesday 22nd March.
In the first five minutes of the Final, Bromsgrove found themselves trailing 4-1 against Lingfield Notre Dame School. A slight change of tactics in Bromsgrove’s defence allowed them to take the lead however, and at quarter time the score was 16-9 in Bromsgrove’s favour. Bromsgrove continued to play with great intensity in the second quarter with numerous turn overs by Corey McGlynn in the position of goal defence and superb link up play by Kitty Luscombe, the captain, playing centre. At half time, the score was 33-14.
Bromsgrove continued to dominate on the court during the second half of the match and with outstanding shooting by Kate Morrice increased their lead further, resulting in an impressive 66-22 victory and the National Champions crown.
It was a marvellous team effort by Bromsgrove resulting in a much deserved win. Bromsgrove’s U15 team are now double national netball champions.

4th round beat Bramcote School 48-19
Quarter finals- beat Berkhamsted 39-32
Semi final beat Woddhouse Grove School 55-37
Final beat Lingfield Notre Dame 66-22
