Bromsgrove School’s Charity Triathlon

Bromsgrove School is proud to celebrate the remarkable effort and generosity displayed by its pupils and staff during the recent charity triathlon event, which covered the equivalent distance between Cairo and Cape Town. The event, held at the school, raised an impressive £10,352 (including Gift Aid), a monumental total. The knowledge that this will directly benefit the beneficiaries of the CDG UK charity is truly fantastic.

Bromsgrove School WorcestershireThe charity triathlon saw participants from two of the Schools competitive Houses, Housman Hall and Lyttelton House, contribute in a variety of ways—whether swimming, cycling, running, or volunteering their time. The collective effort was outstanding, and the school community reached a total distance of 10,372 km: 251.2 km swum, 7,886.3 km cycled, and 2,234.5 km run.

Headmaster of Bromsgrove School, Michael Punt, said: “I was incredibly impressed by the efforts of the members of Lyttelton and Housman Hall. They completed their Cairo to Cape Town triathlon in under 24 hours, with just under half an hour to spare, raising over £10,000 in aid of CDG UK. I suspect this is an event that the pupils involved will remember for a long time, and they will have made a significant difference to the charity.”

Bromsgrove School would like to express its heartfelt thanks to all who participated, donated, or volunteered in support of the charity triathlon, helping to make a real difference for CDG UK. The school challenges its pupils to look for creative ways to continually support charitable causes and foster a culture of kindness and giving.
