Bromsgrove Pupil Wins Shine Scholar Award

Congratulations to Bromsgrove School pupil Alia Derriey who has won the Most Outstanding Pupil / Shine Scholar 2018 award at the Shine Media Awards in London on 2nd July.

The annual competition recognises secondary schools across the UK that produce a newspaper, magazine, podcast or website. Alia’s entry was shortlisted for her work on the School’s Two Zero One magazine. Anya Butler was highly commended for her front cover artwork in the Best Illustration and Artwork category.

Annie Hotton, Shine Committee Chair 2018 said “the standard of the competition is getting higher and higher each year.”

The Shine School Media Awards is an activity of The Stationers’ Foundation, the charitable arm of The Stationers, one of the UK’s ancient Livery Companies.
