Bromsgrove School pupil Siena Horton has made her début for England Hockey U16s at a three-day series of matches against U17 Ulster from 5th -7th May at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.

England won 2-1 in their first match on Saturday 5th, and Siena was awarded Player of the Match. The following day, she was asked to captain the side. They went on to win 4-0 and again 4-1 on Monday 7th – a great result for the England side.

Siena has more training days with England throughout the months of May and June held in St Albans, and is hoping to be selected for either matches against Germany at Bisham Abbey at the end of June, or matches against Belgium in Belgium from 5-8 July. Ultimately, she is hoping to be included in the squad for the prestigious Six Nations event to be held this year in Cork, Ireland from 13-21 July.
