28 May 2018

Bromsgrove School pupil Megan Langford is celebrating after winning the Jessica Smith Bowl and Grace Boulton Plate at the Ladies’ County Golf Championship held at Moseley Golf Club on 4-5 May.

The fourteen year old from Barnt Green managed a nett 69 over the first 18 holes and on the second 18 broke the course record at Moseley with a nett 62. In addition to winning the trophies, Megan’s performance resulted in her handicap being cut from 14 to 8 in the first qualifying competition of the season.

On Saturday 5th May, Megan was seeded 2 and played a match against an England golfer, despite being only 5 over (gross) but sadly lost 5 and 4 on the 15th hole.

This was the end of a great golfing week, as Megan was triumphant at the School Championships on Tuesday 1st May, winning the event.
