Bromsgrove Prep School – Golf success

26 Sep 2018

Congratulations to Bromsgrove Preparatory School pupil Lili-Rose Hunt, who won the Independent Schools’ Golf Association’s Radley Putter at Radley College, Oxfordshire on 9th September.  Lili-Rose played brilliantly to go around a tight, tricky course in a gross 75.

Year 8 pupil Lili-Rose first hit a golf ball at the age of four, has played for Worcestershire County Girls since she was ten and has qualified for European and World championships. Her home club is Droitwich who are very supportive.

Lili-Rose has had many golfing achievements over the last few years. To date in 2018, the young golfer  has won many championships which include Worcestershire Girls’ County Championship and Girls’ best gross at Kenilworth.  She was the highest placed English player (and 7th in the International field) at the U.S Kids’ Golf European Championship at Musselburgh on 29-31 May 2018 and 7th in the Adidas Wee Wonders Grand Final at St Andrews on 25/26 August 2018.  In addition, Lili-Rose is the only girl in Worcestershire to qualify for two consecutive years for England Golf’s Most Improved Golfer Competition.

Over the last twelve months, Lili-Rose has helped coach and train 4-11 year olds on a weekly basis.

Lili-Rose loves playing golf and is extremely competitive.  She was so proud to represent Bromsgrove School and win the tournament against such a very high quality field.
