Bishop’s Stortford College celebrates 100% A Level success.
15 Aug 2014
Bishop’s Stortford College students have again excelled with A Level results that defy the national downward trend; a 100% pass rate, with 57% of students achieving A*/A grades and 82% A*/B.
Bishop’s Stortford College Headmaster, Jeremy Gladwin said. “I am absolutely delighted with the A Level results at Bishop’s Stortford College where we have bucked the national trend to gain some outstanding results – even better than last year’s remarkable success. 23% of our pupils gained the top A* grade, with over 10% of all pupils gaining 3 or more A*. Of particular note; over 74% of pupils in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology achieved A*/A grade and all our EPQ candidates achieved A*. Overall we enjoyed a 100% pass rate, with 95% at A-C and 57% at A*/A.
My congratulations to our Sixth Formers and the teaching staff for all their hard work – they have managed to combine successfully a demanding academic curriculum with the challenges of a busy extracurricular programme.”
