Belmont School – Production of “Oliver”

Pupils at Belmont Preparatory School in Holmbury St. Mary, near Dorking in Surrey have put on a production of ‘Oliver.’

Based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens they followed the character Oliver, played with great believability by Tom from destitute beginnings through the grimy underbelly of London, to the eventual reunion with his family.

The theatre was packed on both nights with standing room only!  Helen Skrine, Headmistresses, commented, “This was truly an amazing performance for which the children rehearsed extremely hard for many months.  It was a delight to see it all come together on the night!”
