Another exceptional year for King’s School Worcester GCSE students

24 Aug 2017

The King’s School is delighted to congratulate its 136 pupils who are celebrating their exceptional GCSE results today.

56% of our pupils achieved at least 8 A*/A grades (our best ever result) and 69% of our entries were graded A* or A grade.

100% of our pupils passed at least 5 GCSE grades A* – C (including English and Mathematics) and 38.5% of entries were graded A*.  43 pupils gained at least ten GCSE’s graded A* or A and 76 pupils gained at least eight GCSEs at A* or A grade.

These overall results include many remarkable individual performances and it is a pleasure to congratulate the ten pupils who gained 10 A* grades or better:

Matthew Armstrong, Headmaster, commented:  “Following our excellent A Level results last week, I wish to congratulate our Fifth Form students on their superb achievements at GCSE.  Students and staff have worked phenomenally well over the last two years and this success is testament to their hard work, focus and determination. We look forward to watching what this impressive group will achieve during their time in the Sixth Form as they take up senior roles within the school.
