A splashing effort for Slindon College’s Annual Inter-House Swimming Gala – Slindon College
10 Jun 2021
The weather was glorious for Slindon College’s annual inter-House swimming gala and our boys showed fantastic effort!
This traditional whole school event pitted our Houses; Cowdray, Norfolk, Richmond and Sussex, against each other in various aquatic races! The very successful day was organised by Mr Muir, our PE teacher.
Slindon’s swimming gala took place the Friday before half-term and was an excellent way to round off the first term back after restrictions on team events and the lockdown earlier in the year due to the pandemic. The fact that the sun was shining brightly meant the day was enjoyed by everyone, including those cheering on the competitors.
A huge well done to all those that took part! Richmond House took the win today as Edward (Year 9) became this year’s fastest swimmer! A huge congratulations to him and his equally speedy competitors Ben (Year 9), Sammy (Year 8 ) and James (Year 7) pictured here with Headmaster, Mr Birkbeck and Chair of the Governors, Mr Slee.
