Alexander’s College Boys U15 win the Suffolk County Volleyball Tournament!

In the County Final there were 6 teams, therefore the teams were divided into 2 groups per 3 where the best 2 teams from each group would qualify for the semi-finals.

Our boys lost their first game 25:15 against Castle Manor but fought back and won their second group stage game 25:20 beating King Edward VI A.

The team then played their semi-final game against Claydon to whom they lost week ago in the qualifying round. I must say that at this stage of the tournament we were seen as ‘underdogs’. The Boys played exceptionally well, fighting for each point and although they were losing at one stage of this game by 7 points, they came back and won 25:21.

In the final we were playing against Castle Manor who we lost to in our first game of this tournament. I can’t praise our boys enough – their commitment, motivation and spirit was amazing and it is my great pleasure to tell you that they won 25:21 and became County Champions !

Well done to Arman, Mehrdad, Azamat, Mohammad G. as well as Arsalan who was patiently supporting his team mates from bench.
