West Buckland Student Chosen for Exeter Chiefs Academy’s First Match After COVID

West Buckland School Year 13 students, Josh Nalevea, has been picked to play in the Exeter Chiefs Academy’s first match back after COVID. The match, this Saturday, will be against Worcester, away.

Josh joined West Buckland in the Sixth Form but his passion for rugby has been hugely curtailed by the COVID pandemic which saw grass-roots rugby halted completely for many months. Despite this, Josh could be seen out on the school’s playing fields, along with fellow boarders, practicing his skills, almost every night.

Josh had been playing for the Chiefs Academy before the pandemic but his selection for the Chiefs Academy’s first game at the weekend is just reward for all the hours of practice that he’s put in on his own.
